Our Story

Motivated by God’s grace, Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build or rehab decent homes for and with families in need. We envision a community where everyone has a decent place to live.

Ramps and Minor Home Repair

Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity’s minor home repair program helps low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain their homes, allowing them to reclaim their investment with pride and dignity. The program eliminates substandard housing through home improvement projects. For those that need safer and easier access to their home we also build wheelchair ramps.

Volunteers

As part of our commitment to building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter, volunteering goes beyond construction. It fosters a deeper connection to the mission, encouraging community members to invest their time, skills, and energy into transforming lives. Additionally, volunteering builds teamwork, empathy, and a lasting sense of accomplishment.

Restore

The ReStore at Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity plays a vital role in supporting our mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. By offering gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials at affordable prices, the ReStore generates revenue that directly funds our housing programs.
